It’s official. Authorities announce full restoration of Baltimore's Fort McHenry Federal Channel

Following the tireless combined effort of numerous state and local agencies, and the removal of about 50,000 tons of bridge wreckage from the Patapsco River, the 700 feet wide and 50 feet deep channel is now safe for unrestricted commercial maritime transit through the Port of Baltimore.
